Photo Illustration

So for this assignment, we just had to use Adobe Photoshop to edit our photos. We were basically given free reign as to what particularly, so I chose to just teach myself how to do different crazy effects. I used a silly "photoshoot" of my sister Megan and I, and played with color, saturation, light, and tone, and then whatever distortions I thought were fun. I had a good time learning these crazy things, and these pictures look crazy now too!

Issue in Black and White

I thought making the pictures black and white made it look even more interesting. To me, it gives it an even more deserted look. (I really like them this way...)

Neighborhood Issues

West King has been under construction for months, and subsequently converted to a one-way street allowing traffic only west-bound. Some of the businesses and restaurants are suffering because of this construction. The area is basically deserted, and there are currently three properties up for rent. Desi Pappas and I went together to take these photos, and she has great pictures too, which can be found on her blog, In Real Life...

(*Professor Eaton: we know you told us to make sure there are subjects in the photos, but that IS our issue at hand--this area is being neglected by the residents and there are no people at the shops and cafe's in this portion of West King.*)

Photoshop Fun

I edited these photos on my home computer, just playing more with Photoshop. I am also tyring out more new things, and they're on the way, to be posted later!

The Green Monster

So I went to the Stage Makeup class at Flagler to photograph my friend, Meredith Rhein, who is double majoring in Communicaion and Theater. For this class, they had to do a gross exhageration of a facial feature, based on a character of their choosing.
Meredith did the Wicked Witch...Then, after they're done applying it, the makeup is latex-based (and basically feels like a rubber glove), and it is just peeled off!
